The perspective of a bee

As I flew on to something that smelt like cotton, I realized I had landed on a human being. I was petrified thinking what would happen to me. This was the very first time I had gone to collect nectar and I had a bad feeling this would be my last if I didn't act fast. I thought about using my only weapon, my stinger. The consequence of that would be me not alive which I obviously didn't want. I felt awful and sorry for all the bees because they only get to use their stinger once. "Hmm..", I thought. I remembered that the human didn't notice me yet. I camouflaged into her yellow shirt that was the perfect shade of yellow for me to hide. All of a sudden someone said, " A bee! Ew!" My eyes widened. I charged into full speed. I  went as fast as than those huge things called cars or something. My family screamed when I came flying into the hive. " Were you guys scared I was gone for an hour?" I asked, panting.
"You were gone for one and a half..." Everyone said.
"One and a half hours, right?" I said jumping.
"No, One and a half minutes!" Everyone laughed.

Diversity means...

Diversity means to be as different as every snowflake that cascades down to earth
Diversity means the same rain that sprinkles on many colorful umbrellas
To me, having a special dinner with my Jewish friend on Hanukah,
Hiding colorful eggs on Easter day
Switching envelopes with my friends on Chinese New year,
And eating sweets on Diwali
Is diversity!
Without diversity, life would be gloomy
I would have the same breakfast, lunch, and dinner everyday
Seasons would not switch
An orchestra would be absolutely tedious with only one instrument playing
My vibrant quilt would be drab
A rainbow with only one color would not be delightful
The same car would be sold all around the world
I would love to wear shorts on a sunny day
And rain boots on a rainy day
Without diversity I have to wear the same type of clothes everyday
 Diversity is all around me
To me, diversity means to have a variety of friends, celebrations, colors, and many wonderful things.

Swimming

                                     Jumping

The saphire blue water looked calm and relaxing. I longed to float in the glistening pool as I put on sunscreen. When I finished I decided to jump into the pool. I skipped up to the edge and tested the water. It was warmer than I expected. When I landed in the pool I was shivering! The water was so cold my hands were numb. On the outside of the pool the water was warm but on the inside, the water was cold. The very next day I came to the same pool. This time I came down the steps because the water could be cold. That time the water was hot! I was furious but I laughed.

Balloon

                Balloon

                 Pop! The balloon popped
              Suddenly all the joy stopped
The lifeless balloon fell to the ground
All the children's hopes were drowned
A little girl started to wail
As she picked up the balloon's tail
           She kneeled down and cried
When she saw something round in the sky
Everyone stared at it in awe
Down it fell as gently as a cloud
And fell on the little girl's hound
As she picked it up she noticed a note
It said,"Here's my balloon that I let go."
All the children were grinning and laughing with joy
When suddenly Pop!
The balloon popped but everyone still smiled.
